About Our Practice
Prevention and Healing clinic weaves traditional internal medicine with the highlighted use of integrative medicine to use the best each has to offer. This integrated medicine is used to manage coronary artery (heart) disease, stroke, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, emphysema, ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity disorder), and many other conditions.
The following evaluation methods and therapies exemplify those used in our practice. The evaluation methods we use offer a glimpse into the body's energy systems and biological terrain. They examine the "fitness" and climate of internal organs and systems from a unique perspective. Unlike conventional medicine, they uncover the informational clues necessary to determine the proper therapies-with the long-term goal of good health rather than mere elimination of disease. Good health transcends an immediate disorder to maximize the body's psycho-neuro-endocrine immune system and reduce the possibility of serious disease over one's lifetime.
The link between chronic illness and "generally poor health" is anchored in the toxins that infiltrate one's environment, body, and diet. Over time, mineral and hormonal imbalances, food allergies, heavy metal toxicities, parasites, hidden infections, and many more commonly ignored conditions begin to form the framework for disease.
Alternative medicine considers illness to be the final result of declining health. The disease itself is a red flag that a person's psycho-neuro-endocrine immune system has progressively weakened. Most patients, who claim "perfect health" until the point of illness, have in fact sustained immune system deterioration and vulnerability for some time. From this perspective, illness represents a collection of symptoms that point toward the causes behind a weakened immune system. To strengthen the immune system, these underlying causes behind its degeneration must be identified and eliminated. Chronic conditions can be prevented, treated and sometimes reversed through the use of evaluation methods and subsequent therapies.
One usually undergoes multiple evaluation methods to ensure an evaluation of the whole person not just his or her most recent symptoms. This comprehensive analysis of energy systems and biological terrain establishes an optimal course of treatment. Some therapies remove the source of immune system distress. Others fortify the immune network.
The multi-disciplinary and complementary medicine approach to healing doesn't just eradicate illness. It builds and strengthens the entire immune system for a goal of lifelong vigor and good health.
