This is a second announcement regarding joint Brain Neuromodulation and Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA) Training in St. Louis August 22-25, 2024. Our surgery-oriented and pharmaceutical driven medical system, in the name of medical science, fails to deal with chronic modern disease, especially in the field of neurology. We need a non-invasive approach to brain and neurological disorders. Morbidity and mortality of brain disorders are ever increasing with a broad range of conditions affecting neurodegenerative conditions and mental health disorders: Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Epilepsy, Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Chronic Pain, PTSD, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, etc.
There is mounting evidence of an increase in deaths from all neurological disorders. Alzheimer’s Disease alone is the sixth leading cause of death. Unfortunately, you cannot repair the damaged brain without treating the whole body. This is a “no brainer.” Is there a simple solution for complex neurologic disorders? Let me outline the basic risk factors and a new concept of Brain Neuromodulation developed by Dr. Petros Kattou of Cyprus. This is not a cure for all neurological problems but a new way of restoring and resetting brain functions. This noble approach is not invasive and does not use drugs, it instead targets and modulates symptoms by using two medical devices: Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation (taVNS).
My article, Cognitive Decline to Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease: Unsuspected Parasite-Dental-Oral Infections, noted risk factors for all neurodegenerative diseases. See my special interests in bold below.
Table: Risk factors for Alzheimer’s and Other Neurodegenerative Disease

One of the first steps is to start with elimination of as many pathogens as possible, lower the overall infectious body burden, and reduce inflammation with improved diet, nutrition, lifestyle and detoxification. This is a lifetime commitment. One of the most difficult parts is dental related problems. The other highlighted problems are ongoing, and involve a slow process, it takes time to detoxify and reduce infectious pathogens and inflammation. Neurodegeneration is an ongoing unrelenting process, and we need rapid brain neuromodulation support therapy to slow down and help reverse the process.
See my articles, Brain Neuromodulation Therapy from Cyprus, and Extraordinary Medicine by Extraordinary Physician from Cyprus: Brain Neuromodulation Training by Dr. Kattou in St. Louis.
The first day, I will cover an AMA refresher in the morning session and advanced AMA training in the afternoon and evening session. The 2nd and 3rd days will focus on Brain Neuromodulation led by Dr. Petros Kattou, and a support team consisting of Dr. Helmut Retzek, MD and Lenna Retzek from Austria and Dr. Atel Hemat, MD from Germany. Dr. Kattou will take patients for evaluation and guidance on treatment plans. He will recommend which neuromodulation device and which programs would benefit the patients. The cost of each neuromodulation device is separate, about $950-$1,200, depending on the model. The 4th day will include combining AMA and Brain Neuromodulation training and how to apply these two unique modalities. There will be a group interaction and how to apply clinical application of AMA in context of Brain Neuromodulation Therapy.
I highly recommend reviewing the Neurological Physical Examination you learned many years ago so it will be easier to follow Dr. Kattou’s rapid neuro examination and not get lost. Normally Dr. Kattou’s 2-day training is €3,000 (just over $3,000), and he is willing to come to America at a reduced rate. I will combine his training and my advanced AMA training at a flat rate of $2,000 if you register by July 31, $2,500 if you register after Aug 1, and $3,000 at the door. Normally, my 4-day training is $1,500, so you get both courses at a discount with no additional travel cost. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the possibilities in noninvasive neuromodulation therapy developed by Dr. Kattou. Space is limited; register ASAP at https://preventionandhealing.com/training/ . Upon registration, a member of SOZO Brain Center will send you an NDA document to sign. This is standard practice to protect the intellectual property (treatment protocols, assessment scales, neuromodulation devices, etc.) they will be sharing with you during the workshop.
My goal is to introduce his innovative Brain Neuromodulation to speed up the recovery of many neurological disorders like MS, Parkinson’s and ALS; and explore its potential for applications on anti-aging, dementia, Alzheimer’s, cancer, PTSD, anxiety/depression, and psychiatric disorders. I strongly believe his training on Brain Neuromodulation and my AMA training complement each other. If you have any patients to be examined and get his therapy recommendations, let me know in advance. The cost for the patient will be $300 paid separately to Prevention and Healing, inc. for Dr. Kattou and SOZO Brain Center. Email preventionandhealinginc@gmail.com if you plan to bring a patient; spaces are filling fast. I will continue to promote his unique approach of brain neuromodulation with AMA to enhance the full potential of neurological recovery, from the nearly impossible to possible. Take this unique opportunity and welcome international training by Dr. Petros Kattou and his support team of Dr. Helmut Retzek, Lenna Retzek and Dr. Atel Hemat. Please spread this information to your colleagues and physicians who may be interested.
