Brain Neuromodulation for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) when all else fails: It Ain’t No Accidental Cure

Brain Neuromodulation is not a new concept. There are many different types of brain neuromodulation, as noted in my articles on this topic. I was stunned by simple, safe, noninvasive Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (TDCS) therapy developed by Dr. Petros Kattou of the SOZO Brain Center in Cyprus. Patients show remarkable improvement in many conditions including Parkinson’s disease, MS, chronic post operative pain, addiction, migraines, mild cognitive impairment, weird neurological disorders, etc.

My practice deals with complex medical problems, cancer, and unexplainable conditions not responding to conventional medical care. I focus on the major areas overlooked by medical professionals, such as hidden dental infections, parasites, and environmental toxins. Many patients’ hidden problems are revealed in acupuncture meridian assessment (AMA) and by correcting parasite and dental problems, they respond well. I called it an “Accidental Cure.” But not everybody responds. What am I missing?

Many patients have already been diagnosed with various clinical diagnoses called Functional Neurological Disorders (FND). FND is characterized by abnormal motor, sensory, or cognitive symptoms arising from a disruption in brain function, which doesn’t show up as structural damage by CT/MRI scan or by standard neurological evaluation. The symptoms are not intentionally produced and can resemble stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, or sensory loss. FND is characterized by abnormal nervous system function and by meridian imbalances in my assessment, in the absence of structural brain disease and abnormal neural networking.

If the patient still has symptoms despite a full standard medical evaluation, and despite meridian assessment, dental work, parasite medications, nutritional support, and detoxification, it is time to explore Brain Neuromodulation therapy developed by Dr. Petros Kattou. You have done all the work on the patient, and it is time to reboot and restart the brain, the master organ, orchestrating and controlling the entire neural network. The conditions below are often considered functional neurologic disorders and respond favorably to neuromodulation: Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Pelvic Pain, Dysfunctional Breathing, Functional Dyspepsia, Myalgic Encephalitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Overactive Bladder Syndrome.

The latest studies indicate brain neurostimulation in inflammatory bowel disease patients modifies resting state connectivity, and Vagus nerve stimulation modulates the inflammatory response and clinical outcome in psoriatic arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. I highly recommend investigating brain neuromodulation and specific functional neurological disorders on your own. There are thousands of articles on neuromodulation, you may look into several articles I wrote on brain neuromodulation.

Dr. Kattou will be visiting the USA and give a one-day lecture and demonstration on August 21, Thursday in Atlanta at the Internation College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) summer conference. For information on this pre-conference workshop, see Chronic Kidney Disease Conference – ICIM | Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Kattou will return to the US and teach for 2 ½ days during my intensive 4-day Joint Advanced AMA/Brain Neuromodulation Training in St. Louis September 11-14, 2025. For information and to register, see Training – Prevention & Healing Inc. We are looking for patients with neurological complaints to have the opportunity to be evaluated by Dr. Petros Kattou, who haven’t already been evaluated by him. This would occur during the advanced training seminar and their treatment plan would then be collaborated on with all doctors in attendance. If you are interested, please reach out to neuropreventionandhealing@gmail.com as space is limited.

For those who are interested, let your physician know about this fascinating new frontier of Non-Invasive Brain Neuromodulation training. This is a game changer for many patients suffering from l Functional Neurological Disorders. Correct the underlying overlooked medical problems and reboot the brain: It Ain’t No Accidental Cure.

FYI, my third book will be coming out soon. It covers ancient intelligence (AI) vs modern AI and includes my Medical Acupuncture Series. The title is Accidental Cure 3, or informally, “It Ain’t No Accidental Cure.”
